This system is highly beneficial but correct diagnosis requires the use of specialised equipment rarely found outside main dealerships. Here at Prestige Servicing we have the latest Mercedes diagnostic equipment to enable us to carry out efficient and accurate diagnosis

Dealer Level Diagnostics with Xentry Kit 3

We specialise in Mercedes diagnostics using the dealer-level original diagnostic Xentry Kit 3. This diagnostics kit allows us to replace and reprogram new control units. We can also carry out software updates which are necessary and often essential to rectify certain electronic issues and improve system performance.

Additionally, it enables us to carry out SCN (Software Calibration Number) coding which is necessary to commission the majority of new Mercedes control units.

Genuine Mercedes Theft‑Relevant Components Supplied and Fitted

Because we have the official Mercedes Xentry Kit 3, we can order and fit all theft-relevant parts which are typically only available to order by official Mercedes main dealers. Some examples of theft-relevant parts are:

  • Engine control units
  • Keys
  • Electronic ignition locks
  • Electronic steering locks
  • Automatic gearbox control units
  • Locks

We require certain documents as proof of ownership before we are able to order theft-relevant parts. This is an essential security measure which represents a huge step in the battle against car crime.

Dealer Equivalent Manufacturer Servicing

We can save you money on servicing and repairs. whatever the age of your vehicle: whether it’s basic essential maintenance or dealership equivalent manufacturer servicing, make Prestige your first call. Remember you can choose Prestige even if your car is within a manufacturer warranty without invalidating this cover.

We also have access to Mercedes Digital Service Booklet, allowing your service history to be recorded online with Mercedes.

First visit at approximately 10,000 miles or 1 year, but determined by Flexible Service System, then every 20,000 miles or 2 years.

Services includes:

Interior
  • Function check
  • Check warning and indicator lamps, illumination and interior lighting
  • Check windshield wiper, windshield washer system, headlamp cleaning system
  • Reset maintenance service counter in instrument cluster
 
Wheels & brakes
  • Remove wheels
  • Check front brake pads for lining thickness
  • Check tyres for damage and condition
  • Correct tyre inflation pressure
 
Engine Compartment
  • Change engine oil and filter
  • Fluid level checks of the following: Engine cooling system, antifreeze and corrosion protection
  • Windshield washer system
  • Brake system
  • Check and correct battery fluid level
  • Check battery condition
  • Check catch, safety catch and hinges on engine hood for proper operation
 
Boot
  • Correct Tyre inflation pressure in spare tyre
  • Check battery condition

We will contact you regarding any defects identified within the vehicle inspection not already quoted for. We will NOT carry out additional work without customer authorisation.

  • Replace dust filter (not applicable to SL-Class)
  • Replace combination filter (SL-Class)
  • Check parking brake (function test only)
 
Wheels & brakes
  • Check condition/thickness of front and rear brake discs
  • Check front and rear brake pads for lining thickness
  • Check tyres for damage and condition
  • Measure tread depth, record in mm
  • Correct tyre inflation pressure
 
Underside of vehicle
  • Check for major components leakage
  • Check for chafe marks, line routing, damaged components
  • Check condition of front axle ball joints and rubber boots
  • Check condition of mechanical steering components and rubber boots
 
Engine Compartment
  • Check for major components leakage
  • Check for chafe marks, line routing, damaged components
  • Check and replenish all fluid levels
  • Check engine oil and filter
  • Check engine cooling system, antifreeze and corrosion protection
  • Check brake system
  • Check power steering
  • Check Active Body Control
  • Check windshield washer system
  • Check and correct battery fluid level
  • Check battery condition
  • Check catch, safety catch and hinges on engine hood for proper operation
  • Check condition of poly v-belt
 
Boot
  • Check battery condition
  • Correct tyre inflation pressure in spare tyre

Courtesy cars are available, subject to availability. It costs £12 pounds per day to insure the car with Aviva insurance. We also ask you to replace the fuel you use.

Please let us know if you require use of a courtesy car when you book and we’ll advise you on availability.
